What was the highlight of APA Hotel Nagasaki Dejima
Not too bad, but certainly disappointing compared to other options.
The location and the staff were amazing - we were able to navigate the entire city of Nagasaki by foot with no issues. The Nagasaki station is also relatively close, meaning we didn't have to go too far either way.
Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. Central AC meant that the room was always humid and quite hot - the humidity was so bad, that the room door was dripping wet, and the conditioner just kept blowing air instead of cooling. If anything, it was more of a fan than an AC. Not to mention the window possibly growing some mold. And the room wasn't well isolated sound-wise - we could hear the neighbors every day and night, and the room keeping workers each morning when we tried to sleep in. Lastly, the bed mattress is soft, however, it's thin, so you end up sleeping on the bed frame with little padding, and don't really rest.

Excellent and modern hotel close to the harbour
Excellent hotel for the price we paid and right by the harbour front and the former Dutch Trading Post. It is easy to get to using the tram (Ohato stop) and the shuttle bus is just 2-minutes around the corner. The rooms are quite small but very comfortable, clean and well furnished. To access the wifi, switch on the tele and you will see the instructions on the screen. The staff are very polite and helpful and let us leave our luggage until midday when we checked out. Highly recommend.

Good value for money
Room had everything I needed, I like that they provide you with a yukata.
The room was a bit small and especially the bathroom felt quite cramped.
